Tina finds comfort at home with a little help from her one-to-one support
At Basingstoke Mencap, our one-to-one support is all about helping people live independently and make their own choices, and Tina’s latest update is a great example of that in action.
With support from her one-to-one worker, Tina was able to choose and buy some new furniture for her home, including a new recliner sofa. She’s absolutely delighted with it, especially the recline feature, which means she can put her feet up and relax in comfort. Alongside the new sofa, Tina has also added a new lamp to the room and reorganised her dining table, both of which she’s really pleased with.
It might seem like a small update, but for Tina it’s made a big difference to how comfortable and at home she feels in her own space. It’s also a lovely example of the kind of difference our one-to-one support can make, helping people take ownership of decisions about their own home and belongings.
