Cheryl Edwards

CHAIR

Cheryl is the founder and CEO of Inclusion Hampshire, an education charity for young people with additional needs. She has a passion for helping charities and community projects succeed and has had over 15 years of experience working in this field.

When Cheryl is not working she loves going for walks with her children and her dog Casper. Her interests include politics, social history and nature, plus watching football!

Steve Bushell

VICE CHAIR

Steve co-founded two successful London-based property businesses and has extensive experience  in operations and management roles within the manufacturing industry. He has assisted the boards of several charities, community projects and fund-raising events over the last 25 years.

When not working Steve loves spending time with family and friends, travelling, walking the dog and trying to keep fit.

Stephen Pritchard

Treasurer

Steve has an extensive background in the electronics industry and is a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers.

When he is not volunteering, his hobbies are meeting with friends, gardening, and watching sport.

Polly Buckland

Polly is co-founder & MD of The Typeface Group, a BCorp communications agency and design studio based in Basingstoke.

She has a husband, two daughters and six chickens! Polly loves reading, decorating whilst listening to podcasts and gardening.

To oversee the strategic management of the charity, make financial decisions, and ensure the charity’s objectives are met whilst acting in our beneficiaries’ best interests.

Service User Voice Forum

Our lived experience ambassadors provide a vital connection between our customers and staff/trustees through regular communication, feedback and reports.

Nick Skillett

Nick previously served as trustee from 2020 to 2022 and regularly volunteers at Greenfingers as the nursery manager. Nick enjoys attending May Club and the Mencap discos. Nick plays the important role of being the voice for the people that use the Basingstoke Mencap services.

When he is not volunteering at Greenfingers and as a Trustee, his hobbies are meeting with friends, gardening, and watching various sports.

Conway Marshall

Conway was born in London and is a keen Millwall supporter. He previously served as a trustee from 2018 to 2022, and he goes to May Club and Wellie Club which he really enjoys. When he is not volunteering at Basingstoke Mencap, Conway works at Loddon Enterprises and is a volunteer at the Community Furniture Project.
