Growing Minds
Greenfingers’ gardening therapy allotment offers a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals with learning disabilities.
At Growing Minds, we offer specialised sessions for young people to enhance well-being, cultivate skills and foster a love of nature. We also offer the opportunity to gain qualifications such as NVQ1 in horticulture, and to develop woodworking skills.
Specialist Provision
Our ‘Growing Minds’ programme is tailored to children with special educational needs (SEN) aged 14 and above.
Our secure environment and high staff ratios ensure every child is supported and nurtured.
Session Times
Every Tuesday and Thursday
10am until 12 noon
and
1pm until 3pm.
Qualifications
We partner with HortAbility to deliver an NVQ in Horticulture at our Elizabeth Road allotments.
All students receive personalised attention and safety equipment is provided, ensuring a secure learning environment.
Woodworking
We have a fully fitted, supervised workshop on-site where young people can learn new woodworking skills.
