Spring into action with Basingstoke Mencap’s Easter Switch Campaign
We have launched an innovative Easter campaign asking local residents to donate the cost of an Easter egg (£3) to provide life-changing support for people with learning disabilities.
The “Easter Switch” campaign aims to convert what people might spend on Easter eggs into meaningful support for the local learning-disabled community. With a target of 1,000 donations of £3 each, the charity hopes to fund 1,000 hours of vital life skills support.
“While Easter eggs bring temporary joy, a £3 donation can provide an hour of life-changing support for someone with learning disabilities,” says Tim Knight, CEO at Basingstoke Mencap. “We’re asking our community to consider making their Easter giving more meaningful this year.”
